History The Philadelphia Diesel Difference Working Group formally established five subcommittees or "ad hoc working groups" at its November 17, 2003 meeting: Criteria, Corporate Sponsorship, Mobile Source Emissions Reduction Credits, Tax Credits and Organizational Structure. The Technical Subcommitee was added at the February 20, 2004 meeting. The Port Emissions Subcommittee was established as the seventh subcommittee during the April 18, 2005 meeting and was renamed the Task Force on Philadelphia Port Environmental Issues (or "Port Task Force") during the December 12, 2005 Port Emissions Subcommittee meeting. Background "The Working Group may establish a sub-committee, by majority vote, when it believes that its formation is necessary to accomplish a task and/or investigate an issue" (see Part III of the Rules on "Organizational Structure and Decision Making Authority"). Sub-committees meet separately, as often as they determine necessary, to offer recommendations to the Working Group on the subject matter that they have been empowered to consider. Information that is more specific to each subcommittee can be found in each of their webpages (as linked to below). The Subcommittees
Meetings Subcommittees meet on an as-needed basis as determined by their members or the Working Group. Please consult the Events Calendar for more information. Subcommittees are dissolved upon acceptance of a final report by the Executive Committee.
